The Building

The Foundation is currently housed in the studio of Raghu Rai. It is proposed that an independent facility be built in the near future to house the Foundation in the picturesque environs of Mehrauli in Delhi to museographic standards.
The main goal of the Foundation will be to house the archive comprising comprehensively catalogued works of Mr Raghu Rai and a library accessible to the community for research. It will also house a gallery and both indoor and outdoor space to hold talks and conversations on photography.
The basement floor will house the resource center for viewing archival photos and videos as well as house the Foundation’s extensive library and a gallery.
The ground floor will house the space for outdoor talks and a cafeteria
The first floor will house the archive and office rooms of the foundation
The second floor will house the library and meeting rooms for foundation’s gathering
